Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how TANGI0 LTD (trading as "TG0", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09787762, collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit www.tg0.co.uk (the "Site"), engage with us as a prospective or existing client, partner, or supplier, or purchase a demonstration/development kit through our Site.

Registered office: 73-75 Upper Richmond Road, Upper Ground Floor Office, London, SW15 2SR, United Kingdom.

TG0 also operates from offices in Hong Kong and Beijing; see Section 8 (International Transfers) for what that means for your data.

For concerns or complaints about this policy please contact Shanna Wood at info@tg0.co.uk.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect different categories of personal information depending on how you interact with us:

Device and usage information: when you browse the Site, we automatically collect information about your device, browser, IP address, time zone, and pages viewed, using cookies, log files, and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5, Cookies).

Order information: if you purchase a demonstration or development kit through our Shopify-powered checkout, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, payment details (processed by Shopify, not stored by us), email address, and phone number.

Business contact information: if you enquire about our technology, request a quote, attend an event, download a whitepaper, or are added to our CRM as part of an existing or prospective business relationship, we collect and hold business contact details such as your name, job title, company, work email, and phone number in our CRM (HubSpot).

Communications: records of correspondence when you contact us by email, form, live chat (Intercom), or phone.

We do not knowingly collect special category data (e.g. health data) through the Site, other than where a client or partner shares it with us directly in the course of a project, in which case it is processed under the terms of the relevant contract, not this Site policy.

3. How we use your information and our lawful basis

We only process personal data where we have a valid lawful basis under UK GDPR Article 6. Broadly:

  • Fulfilling dev-kit orders (processing payment, arranging shipping, providing invoices) — necessary for performance of a contract with you.
  • Responding to enquiries, managing the sales relationship, sending marketing communications about our technology to business contacts — legitimate interests (pursuing our commercial activities in a way that is proportionate and expected by a business contact), or consent where required (e.g. certain electronic marketing under PECR/DUAA).
  • Site analytics, live chat, and fraud/bot screening — legitimate interests, subject to your cookie consent choices (see Section 5).
  • Identifying likely business visitors to the Site for sales follow-up — legitimate interests, where enabled (see Section 5 regarding ZoomInfo, currently under internal review).
  • Complying with legal obligations (e.g. tax records for orders) — legal obligation.

Where the DUAA's new "recognised legitimate interests" category applies (for example, in connection with regulatory or safeguarding matters), we rely on that basis without a separate balancing assessment, as permitted by the amended UK GDPR. This is not expected to be a common basis for TG0's ordinary commercial activity.

4. Cookies — how consent works

The Site uses a Cookiebot/Usercentrics consent banner, which lets you accept or decline each category of non-essential cookie separately, and to withdraw or change your consent at any time via the widget. Necessary cookies (required for the Site to function) cannot be switched off.

The DUAA introduced narrow exemptions allowing certain low-risk cookies (strictly necessary security/fraud-prevention cookies, and cookies used solely for service-improvement analytics or remembering user preferences) to be set without consent, provided a clear opt-out is offered. TG0 continues to run full consent management for all non-essential categories rather than relying on this exemption.

5. Cookies we use

  • Necessary (always active) — from Cloudflare (bot/human detection and load-balancing: __cf_bm, cf_turnstile, _cfuvid) and Cookiebot itself (CookieConsent, which stores your saved preference for one year).
  • Preferences — from Intercom, our live chat widget. These remember whether you've closed the chat pop-up and set device/session identifiers, lasting 7 to 271 days.
  • Statistics — Vimeo-related performance cookies (e.g. _dd_s, vuid, up to 2 years) and first-party session cookies (ziwsSession, ziwsSessionId) used for internal visit analytics.
  • Marketing — the largest category:
  • Google Analytics/Ads cookies (_ga, _gcl_au, and others, up to 2 years) and Embed.ly cookies that track interaction with embedded video/content, stored persistently.
  • ZoomInfo: When you visit and browse our website, we automatically collect data about you such as your device and browsing information, and we use and share this data with certain vendors (including ZoomInfo) to resolve anonymous visitors, provide website functionality, and analyze which pages you visit.

You can manage your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link on the Site, or through your browser settings. For general information about cookies, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.

6. How we share your information

We share personal information with the following categories of third party, each acting as a processor on our instructions or, where noted, as an independent controller:

  • Shopify — powers our dev-kit checkout and processes payment and order information. See Shopify's privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
  • Cloudflare — security and content delivery.
  • Cookiebot/Usercentrics — consent management.
  • Intercom — live chat.
  • Vimeo — embedded video hosting and related performance cookies.
  • Google Analytics / Google Ads — Site analytics and advertising. See https://policies.google.com/privacy. Opt out at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • Embed.ly — embedded content tracking.
  • HubSpot — our CRM platform, used to manage business contact and sales/marketing data.
  • ZoomInfo — marketing analytics and business intelligence

We may also disclose personal information to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Behavioural advertising

Where we run targeted advertising, you can opt out directly through the relevant platform:

We do not alter our data collection practices in response to a browser "Do Not Track" signal, as there is no accepted industry standard for how to interpret it.

8. International transfers

TG0 has offices in the UK, Hong Kong, and Beijing, and uses service providers (including Shopify, Cloudflare, Google, Vimeo, Intercom, HubSpot, and ZoomInfo) that may process data outside the UK, including in the United States.

Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we do so on the basis of the UK's adequacy regulations (where the destination is a UK-adequate jurisdiction) or, where it is not, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Since 5 February 2026, UK GDPR requires such transfers to satisfy a "data protection test" — that protections in the receiving jurisdiction are not materially lower than in the UK — rather than the previous "essentially equivalent" standard.

No Site-collected personal data are viewed, used, disclosed or is used in any other manner by our satellite office or their vendors.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected for, and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Data collected will be kept for the duration of the business relationship plus 2 years or after 2 years of inactivity whichever is longer.

10. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Request erasure of your information, in certain circumstances
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your information
  • Request a portable copy of information you've provided to us
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@tg0.co.uk.

Right to complain to us directly: Since 19 June 2026, under section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018 (as inserted by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025), you also have a right to complain to us directly if you believe we have infringed UK GDPR in handling your personal data. You can submit a complaint by emailing info@tg0.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and investigate without undue delay, keeping you informed of progress and outcome.

Right to complain to the regulator: You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or, if you are in the EEA, with your local supervisory authority.

11. Children

The Site is a business-to-business site aimed at engineers, designers, and procurement professionals, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Automated decision-making

We do not currently use your personal information to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that would have a legal or similarly significant effect.

13. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
